Sylvia Alakusheva

Sylvia is a Boston-based yoga teacher, licensed nutritionist and a certified nutrition specialist (CNS). She is a graduate of the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) in NYC and holds a graduate degree in human nutrition and functional medicine from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. In 2019, Sylvia completed her residency at the Functional Medicine Clinic of Dr. Kara Fitzgerald in Sandy Hook, CT where she worked closely with a team of functional physicians and nutritionists to support patients with a wide range of health challenges including auto-immune disorders, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, weight-loss resistance, cardiovascular disease, depression and more.

Sylvia is also certified as an Ayurvedic nutrition specialist and often applies the ancient principles of Ayurveda in her work with clients.

Sylvia specializes in weight management, digestive health and elimination diets with a focus on gluten and dairy-free meal options. She is also passionate about women’s health and works to address hormonal imbalances and infertility through healthy diet, lifestyle and supplemental nutrition.

Sylvia is a proud mom of three young children. In her spare time, she loves to practice yoga, go for long runs by the Charles, and travel around the world.
