Philosophy:
“I strive to provide an alternative approach to Pain Management.  In order to suit your needs, a blend of modalities is imperative.  I will work with you to find the best way to commence healing for the body and the mind.  An integrated approach is necessary for comfort and optimal healing.  In Western culture, we have a tendency to attack any issues after trauma, injury, or pain develop. My goal is to consider what is most comfortable and beneficial regarding acute or chronic themes that you are experiencing with your physical and mental health.  Once we can effectively work out a strategy for healing, an Eastern medicine approach coupled with Western modalities, will be applied in your treatment sessions.  In order to effectively find balance, we will focus on the mind-body connection.  Let’s move towards preventing further injuries and maintaining homeostasis with preventative treatment.”

Philosophy

There are so many ways to integrate touch in a way that can help you. When you separate your body into layers, you’ll find that it takes a very focused approach on these set of different tissue systems to keep functioning through gravity. The misconception that Bodywork is meant to be ‘indulgent’ is simply a myth. The mere engineering aspect of muscle tissue is to act as a lever to your skeletal system. If your muscles aren’t properly nourished with a normal supply of healthy blood circulation, the result is weakened muscles with possible muscle atrophy.
Massage Therapy is not here to indulge you. Massage is here to heal you and familiarize you with well…you. From very light tapping, to the extraordinary power of Reflexology (which is practiced and performed primarily by the blind is many Asian countries) to the more well known genres of structural bodywork such as Shiatsu and Orthopedic Massage, the search to find the love and attention that your body requires is the core philosophy and at the center of my work.
