Dr. Michael Melander grew up in Acton, MA graduating from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.  He attended the University of Vermont graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Medical Laboratory Science. Soon after, he attended the Palmer College of Chiropractic Florida Campus in Port Orange, FL, graduating with honors.

Dr. Melander developed an interest in the chiropractic profession at a fairly young age having experienced and witnessed the benefits of care first-hand.  An interest in treating an athletic population prompted him to pursue post-graduate education in sports medicine, eventually earning the status of Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician in 2011.  Additional interest in the care of soft tissue injuries influenced his decisions to become certified in Active Release Techniques® and Graston Technique®. He has been an Active Release Techniques® instructor since 2017.

He currently lives in Newburyport, MA with his wife Kellie, children Jack and Nora, and chocolate lab Stokely.  In his free time he enjoys skiing, surfing, Maine, Vermont, and all things Boston Sports.

Dr. Ryan Hamilton
Dr. Ryan Hamilton

Dr. Hamilton is originally from the northern California city of San Mateo, where he grew up playing baseball, football, soccer, and basketball. As he grew older and stronger, he began to accumulate injuries by not taking care of his body the right way. This lead to a desire to learn why his injuries occurred and carved a path into the healthcare field.

Dr. Hamilton attended the University of California Santa Barbara where he majored in Psychology and Health and Exercise Science. After a year as a personal trainer and becoming a high school head baseball coach, he attended Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward, CA from which he graduated with honors in June of 2016. While in school, Dr. Hamilton became certified in Active Release Techniques® and Graston Technique® and began treating many of his players at the chiropractic school’s clinic.

Dr. Hamilton lives in Arlington with his wife and fellow chiropractor Elise and their daughter Liv. He enjoys good food, East Bay sports teams, exploring New England, and lives by the quote “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.”
